How to dry damp clothes?

A few days ago one of my girls had clothes on the line overnight that she wanted to wear that day. She went outside and took the two items off the clothesline and asked me, "Can I put my clothes in the microwave to make them all dry?"

I laughed and smiled at the idea. She couldn't understand why it wouldn't work. I told her that it probably would work, but it would be better if she just put them somewhere in the house where they would dry.

Oh the funnies you experience as a Mom! :O)

Oh the Joy of Christmas Pictures...

I don't know about you and your family, but it's ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get a really good family picture on the first try. My girls? HUH...crazy to have all of us looking at the camera at the same time! :O)

I'm eager to see what they will look like for this Christmas...but no doubt it will be an ordeal as we have them taken.

Take care & blessings.

"When you get married, who will be in charge?"

My oldest girl asked me this question the other day. I responded with:"when I'm married, my husband (your Daddy) will be in charge." The girls were perplexed since they knew that this is my house. I continued to explain to them that the Bible says that the husband is head of the house which means that he is in charge of the family. Then I gave an example that if I said yes and my husband said no, then we would talk about it. If we still disagree then he will have the final say. We would respect each other and his answer would be the final one. That is the house that God blesses all the more.

This concept is so foreign to my girls, but something that I want to teach them and show them in the coming days, weeks, years.

Catch those teachable moments with your kids or the kids God has put you in charge of for a time.

Beginnings of Jehovah Rapha Girls Home

On November 1, 2007 Jehovah Rapha Girls Home was incorporated.

God has taken this home and developed it for His honor and glory. So far 7 girls have come through this home (with 4 still remaining).

What a ride it has been and I am so thankful that I obeyed what God was telling me in and through it all.

Every day is a surrendering to God this Girls Home, giving every girl to God and asking Him for wisdom to raise them in a way that pleases Him. No, it's not easy to be both Mom & Dad, but God does give strength.

I'm excited to see where God takes us next on this adventure...

It's only because of YOU God.
